West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces arrested a child at the entrance of the southern city of Jericho in the West Bank on Sunday evening.
Local sources reported that the IOF arrested 13-year-old Amin Al-Sajdi, a resident of Aqaba Jaber refugee camp south of Jericho, after detaining and holding him at the southern entrance of the city.
The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies, an independent human rights organization, documented 570 cases of arrests targeting young boys and children during the first half of this year, with the majority of them from Jerusalem.
The number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons is approximately 4,900 prisoners, including 34 female prisoners, according to institutions concerned with prisoners' affairs.
