Gaza Strip, ALRAY - The Presidential Committee for Goods Coordination announced on Monday that the Israeli side has informed them of the Israeli government's decision to halt all types of exports from Gaza through the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing.
The committee confirmed in a concise statement that exports will be suspended starting from tomorrow, Tuesday, until further notice.
The General Authority for Crossings and Borders explained that the crossing will continue to operate normally for imports.
According to Israeli sources, the Israeli military claimed to have seized materials exported from Gaza to the West Bank that are used in the manufacturing of explosives.
Kerem Shalom commercial crossing is considered the sole crossing for the Gaza Strip since the Israeli occupation imposed the blockade and closed all crossings with Gaza nearly 16 years ago.
