West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation army has set fire to Palestinian farmland in Burqa village, east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces fired illumination flares in an area on the outskirts of the village, setting swathes of farmland ablaze.
The Israeli occupation army set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village, restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles and causing a severe traffic jam.
Israeli occupation forces also installed a checkpoint on the road adjacent to the illegal settlement of “Ofra”, built on large chunks of occupied Palestinian land, in the northeast of Ramallah.
A human rights group has documented 13 illegal settlement activities, including seizing and razing Palestinian lands and approving new illegal settlement units, and 124 attacks by Israeli colonial settlers against Palestinian citizens and their property in the occupied West Bank over the past month.
