West Bank, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation authorities have released Palestinian detainee Esam al-Sadouq after jailing him for 21 years.
He has been suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis since 2012. In June, he underwent a colonoscopy at an Israeli hospital.
The Israeli occupation army detained al-Sadouq on 11 September 2002. An Israeli occupation military court issued him a 21-year prison term.
The Israeli occupation is holding around 5,100 Palestinian detainees in inhumane conditions, including more than 1,200 under the so-called administrative detention without charge, according to a Palestinian prisoners’ rights group.
