Jerusalem, ALRAY - Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed on Sunday the courtyards of Al-Aqsa under the protection of the Israeli occupation services, coinciding with the so-called second day of the Jewish Sukkot day.

Israeli occupation forces coinciding with the second day of the Jewish Sukkot Day, imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinians coming from Jerusalem and the 1948 territories, checked their identities and detained some of them at its external gates.

Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in successive groups from Al-Mughrabi Gate, and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.

The Israeli occupation forces deployed widely inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, and obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens in its courtyards, to facilitate the Israeli settlers' storming.

Large numbers of Israeli settlers began carrying out massive incursions since Saturday on what is called Sukkot Day.

The Israeli occupation exploits the Jewish holidays to disturb Palestinians, in conjunction with major violations committed by the occupation forces, including imposing a siege, tightening military measures at checkpoints, and obstructing Palestinian citizens' access to holy places.
