HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza, funded by Qatar Fund for Development, has suffered significant damage due to the ongoing and violent Israeli airstrikes on its vicinity.

The Hamad Hospital is considered an important healthcare facility in Gaza, offering rehabilitation services, prosthetic limb installation, physical and occupational therapy, as well as departments for speech and hearing therapy and psychological rehabilitation. This attack is not the first; the hospital's building was previously damaged in 2021 due to Israeli airstrikes.

Qatar Fund for Development emphasizes that these massacres, collective punishment, retaliatory attacks, and assaults on civilians and infrastructure constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law and may amount to war crimes. Qatar Fund for Development reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics was established in 2016, following the directives of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, to build a specialized hospital for prosthetic limb installation and rehabilitation in Gaza. Qatar Fund for Development continued its commitment by officially operating the hospital on April 22, 2019.
