Gaza, Alray - Israeli forces arrested An-Najah National University professors Mustafa al-Shunnar and Rashid al-Ashqar on Monday night after storming their houses in Ma'ajeen neighborhood in Nablus.

Al-Shunnar, a Hamas political figure, has been previously abducted for seven times.

Director of Ahrar Center for Human Rights Fouad al-Khafash said "Israeli force broke into the houses and confiscated documents, mobile devices and personal computers before they ill-mannerly arrested the lecturers leading them to an unknown destination."

"This campaign comes as part of a major campaign announced by Israel with the start of the year under the slogan "mowing the lawn" affected many Muslim leaders and university lecturers, the latest of which was the arrest of Prof. Issam al-Ashqar from the Faculty of Physics, Prof. al-Shunnar from Faculty of sociology, and Prof. al-Khafash.

 Al-Khafash held Israel responsible for the lives Mustafa and Issam, released under Hamas-Israel prisoner exchange deal, who suffer from blood pressure and heart failure respectively."
