Gaza, Alray - Higher Committee for Marking al-Nakba (the 1948 Palestinian exodus) launched Tuesday the 65th anniversary events.

The commemorations shall include galleries, seminars, murals and drawings, aimed at promoting the concept of ‘Right to Return’.

Minister of Culture Mohammad al-Madhoun said in a press conference “the events will be launched as from today, the 30th of April, under the slogan ‘Our Unity..Path to Our Return’ as the start of the series of events, culminating on May, 5th, the day on which hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were dispossessed and exiled from their ancestral land before and during the creation of the state of Israel.

The minister called on all Palestinian masses at home and abroad to participate in the events.

He confirmed the Palestinians’ adherence to their right of return to their lands they were displaced from, stressing that “the right of return does not fall over time” and that “Palestinians will not live another migration within the country or outside.”

Among the events is "Revolution and Resistance" festival to be held in Cairo in the coming days, according to al-Madhoun.

Of the planned events is “Label Your Home in Google Earth” campaign, and ‘Our Unity..Path to Our Return’ Opera; in addition to creating a facebook page to spread the justice of the Palestinian cause.
