Gaza, Alray  - Some 1000 Israeli settlers  stormed Joseph Tomb in Nablus Monday at dawn escorted by Israeli Occupation Forces to perform their religious rituals at the place.

The provocative actions of the settlers lead to clashes with young Palestinians, witnessed said.

The Israeli forces fired tear gas leaving several cases of suffocations among locals.

Jews believe the tomb is the final resting place of the biblical figure Joseph. Muslims believe that an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Yusef (Joseph) Dawiqat, was buried there.

The Israeli army regularly escorts Jewish worshipers to make nocturnal pilgrimages in the site.
