Gaza, Al ray - More than 40 Israeli settlers including members of Israeli Likud party stormed Al-Aqsa courtyard Thursday morning.
The Israeli Occupation Forces intensified its security measures, and closed Bab El-Hadid , one of Al-aqsa entrances, before Palestinian prayers, to avoid confrontations.
According to media sources, Mohammed Hussein Mufti of Jerusalem resided in front of Lion Gate to prevent Israeli attacks against prayers and to prevent defilement of Al-Aqsa.
Al-Aqsa Foundation warned in previous days of a Likud's plan aimed to commemorate what is called "The 46th anniversary of uniting Jerusalem".
