Gaza, Alray - Engineering Corps of the Israeli Occupation Forces(IOF) installed wire tappers and jamming devices along the borders with the Gaza Strip to spy on Palestinians' phone calls.
According to eyewitness, the IOF started installing the devices since last Thursday around the 40km-long borders.
"Several Israeli vehicles arrived to the area and installed electronic devices such as surveillance cameras , jamming devices and tappers on the big Eucalyptus trees," he added.
He said that you have to use telescope to see the devices as they were hidden among tree branches.
Locals noticed jamming on the their cell phones and in case you area one kilometer close to the devices there will be no signal.
They complained that when they speak on their cell phones they hear frequencies and echoes which proved that the calls are tapped.
IOF stared installing surveillance devices since its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005; and from time to time it added new developed devices.
