Gaza, Alray - Nearly 40 solidarity activists challenged the risk to be at the bordering area extending along the eastern the Gaza Strip, to help the border-land farmers in the wheat harvest.
Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) organized the solidarity day on Tuesday.
The 38 participants raised Palestine flags and chanted slogans advocating the right of farmers to cultivate their land and take advantage of their crops.
The initiative comes, according to UAWC's chairman of Nusairat and Mughraqa village committee, Mohammed Khattab, to coincide with the anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe) to emphasize the Palestinians' right to cultivate their land and enjoy its bounties.
The Israeli occupation barracks aren't far away from the farmers' lands adjacent to the border wire repeatedly crossed by the Israeli limitary vehicles.
