Gaza, Alray - Dr. Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, head of the Supreme Islamic Council and preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque expressed surprise at the silence of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) after the Israeli occupation forces cancelled its visit to Jerusalem.

 He said in a press statement that, " This silence is suspicious." Adding," we expected UNSCO to insist on the visit."

Sabri said," all its efforts were fruitless. We do not trust it as its attitudes toward Israeli violations were shameful."

He confirmed that its efforts are waste of time and can be considered a step to encourage Israel to continue judaization in Al-Aqsa."

"We have to cooperate with Islamic countries to protect our holy places and to put an end to Israeli measures," he added

He pointed out that Israel continues its aggression that aim to judaize the Islamic and Christian places in Jerusalem.
