Gaza, Alray - Youssef al-Zahar, Director General of Civil Defense, stated Monday  that civil defense in Gaza could produce for the first time (Fire-fighting foam) for extinguishing fire.

He noted that the consume  price for producing foam is far much less than buying it  from abroad.

 Fathi Hammad, the Minister of Interior Ministry, praised the efforts of Civil Defense Forces efforts during a manoeuvre for measuring the effectiveness of Fire-fighting foam in extinguishing fire.

Fire-fighting foam is used for fire suppression. Its role is to cool the fire and to coat the fuel that prevents  its contact with oxygen.
