Deir al-Balah, ALRAY- Israeli occupation forces(IOF) opened fire on Thursday morning towards farmers' land east of Deir al-Balah in the central of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation troops positioned in military towers in vicinity of "Kissufim" site penetrated towards the border southeast of the city and opened fire with machine guns towards farmers’ lands in the region. No casualties were reported.

Palestinian farmers were forced not to go to their land, to farm it, according to local sources. 

Farming in the Gaza Strip’s “buffer zone” is hazardous under the best circumstances. Israeli forces routinely shoot live ammunition at Palestinian farmers in the free-fire area, which stretches hundreds of meters into the besieged territory from the barrier separating it and Israel, and invade their fields with tanks and bulldozers.
