West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli occupation government submitted legislation that would expand the Israeli military minister’s powers to curb citizens’ freedom under security pretexts.
According to Haaretz paper the proposed law would broaden the power of the Israeli military minister to curb citizens’ freedom, including restricting the profession a person could work in, forbidding anyone from leaving the country or having contact with certain individuals.
The bill will be presented to the Legislation Committee in Knesset to be discussed; in case it is passed the Israeli military minister will obtain more power that would curb citizens' freedom.
Up to the bill the arrest warrant will be restrict to specific months while the arrest time will not be more than a year that could be renewed without conditions but according to a trial.
This law , in case passed, will be applied on the holder of Israeli ID card and Palestinians.
