Gaza, Alray - Israeli Military Forces (IMF) raised alert status and increased  the watch on coast  for fearing of sea - Intifada-  uprising, Wala Hebrew  site reported.

It is witnessed an increase in frictions between the Israeli  military navy and  Palestinian fishermen  over the  allowed area of fishing which is estimated to  6 miles off shore.

The IMF intensified the military patrols operating in opposite  Gaza shore  for a fear of carrying military operations  against Israeli important  sites in Israeli coastal cities nearby Gaza.

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) documented 29 attacks launched by the Israeli forces against Palestinian fishermen , who did not pose any threat to Israeli soldiers,  during the reporting period (01 March – 31 May 2013), including 29 shooting incidents in which a fisherman was wounded; and 2 hound  operations in which 2 fishermen were arrested and their boats and other fishing tools were confiscated.

According to PCHR's follow-ups, 85% of the Israeli attacks took place within the allowed fishing area, which proved that Israeli forces' policies aimed to tighten restrictions on the Gaza Strip's fishermen and their means of making livelihood.
