Occupied WB, ALRAY - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Monday a large-scale campaign of arrests across different districts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
The IOF said in a statement that it arrested 45 Palestinians during the campaign, 13 of them are suspected of carrying out acts of resistance against the Israelis.
In this connection, the IOF claimed seizing of a pistol in Hebron and another weapon in Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that the IOF raided the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, and arrested four Palestinians, after inspecting their houses and assaulted their residents.
The four were identified as Yazan Murei, Abdu Abdu, Feras Abu al-Jaber, and Faraj Sanouri.
In Hebrew, the sources reported that the IOF raided a number of Palestinian houses in Bani Naim town, and harassed their residents.
As of occupied Jerusalem, a large force of the IOF broke into the Jerusalemite town of Issawiya through its main entrances, raided several Palestinian houses causing panic among their residents, and arrested 30 Palestinians on suspension of throwing stones on the Israelis.
Most of the arrested are minors, named as Ahmed Abu Romi,18, Waseem Dari ,15,, Yousuf Mustafa ,17,, Ahmed Mahmud ,15, Muhammed Abu al-homs ,16,, Amir Darweesh ,15,, Adam Mahmud ,17,, Qusai Dari ,17, Ma’moon Mahmud ,17, Yazan Herbawi ,17,, Majd Dari ,15, Fadi Essawi ,16, Muhammed Mustafa ,14, Adam Abu Shammleh ,17, Ayyub Abu al-Homs ,16, Saleh Abu Asab ,17, Khaled Mustafa ,15, and Uday Derbass.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
