Occupied WB, ALRAY - Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), severely assaulted on Saturday Palestinian farmers in the occupied West Bank town of Masafer Yatta in southern Hebron.
Local sources reported that settlers from illegal nearby settlements built on vast chunks of land southeast of Yatta, beat and injured several defenseless farmers from the family of al-Nawaj’ah near the village of Umm Lakhous.
The settlers were trying to prevent the farmers from working at their lands, the sources added.
A number of farmers suffered bruises in the attack, according to the sources.
Israeli settlers regularly attack Palestinian farmers and landowners and uproot dozens of olive trees in a bid to drive them out of their lands and expand illegal Israeli settlements.
