West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces arrested on Tuesday at dawn Hamas leader Hassan al-Wardian ,67, who is one of the candidates for the "Jerusalem is our date" list for the legislative elections in Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that IOF arrested al-Wardian after storming his house in Bethlehem and ransacked it.

Al-Wardian served ten years in Israeli jails at sporadic times, and was arrested by Palestinian authority.

The occupation continues to target leaders of Hamas, in light of preparations for elections and efforts to achieve reconciliation and national unity.
