Gaza, ALRAY - Minister of Israeli military occupation forces Moshe Ya'alon approved on Sunday the entry of construction materials into Gaza after three months of banning.
According to Ynet news, Ya'alon has ordered the coordinator of Israel activities in the territories Eitan Dangot to allow construction materials into the Gaza Strip for projects to restore buildings following damage caused by rough weather
Dangot spoke with Palestinian Authority and international community officials and informed them that some 1,000 tons of cement and construction materials would be allowed into Gaza.
B'Tselem - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories has published on 15th Jan a report under which it concluded that the extent of Israel’s control over the Gaza Strip entails clear responsibilities saying that " Israel is obliged to allow construction supplies into Gaza." It also explained that any other interpretation, based on formalistic arguments that do not accord with the spirit of international law, is unreasonable.
