Gaza, ALRAY - Israeli occupation forces arrested on Saturday evening four Palestinian minors from Bethlehem, while summoned two others for interrogation.
Local sources reported, the Israeli troops detained Shahin Mustafa,15, and Mohammed Taqatqa,16, from Beit Fajjar town at a checkpoint erected recently near the town clinic.
Israeli occupation raided houses of Farouq al-Dir,15, and Saed Abu Akar,24, from Ayda camp to the north of Bethlehem, and handed them summons to go to the Israeli interrogation centre in Gush Etzion settlement.
Undercover Israeli soldiers stopped Saturday at dawn a Palestinian vehicle in Beit Jala before capturing it, and arrested its driver (his name unidentified).
Another Palestinian citizen was arrested at a checkpoint near the grave yard of al-Khader town, to the south of Bethlehem.
Israeli forces also arrested Mohammed al-Salayma,18, and Mohammed Asaliya,20, during clashes erupted at the al-Wad road in the old city of Jerusalem.
They were taken to al-Qeshla occupation police center in Bab al-Khalil, witnesses saidز
Official Palestinian data confirms that Israeli forces arrested 900 Palestinian children over the past year, unlike previous years where the occupation averaged 700 child prisoners.
The Ministry of Prisoner's Affairs in Ramallah has published a report stating that "The detention of children and their torture have turned into a systematic policy practiced by the occupation; a policy that constitutes a violation of both international conventions and agreements related to the rights of detained children."
The report pointed out that nearly 180 children under the age of 18 are currently detained in Israeli jails, distributed among the prisons in Ofer, Megiddo and Sharon.
