Gaza, Al Ray - Jordan's foreign ministry, on Monday, summoned Israeli Ambassador in Amman over recurring Israeli violations and break-ins against Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound.

Official Jordanian news agency Petra reported that the ministry told the ambassador, Daniel Nevo, that "these attacks must stop" and that "the Jordanian government holds Israel, as the occupying power, responsible for the safety and security of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Muslim worshippers."

"The ministry also told the envoy that such violations and attacks are tantamount to a flagrant violation of international law and the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel and constitute an extreme insult to bilateral relations" the agency added.
