ALRAY - Hebrew paper Yedioth Aharnoth unveiled Tuesday, citing Israeli political sources, that Israel agreed to gradually lift the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip as Secretary of State John Kerry intends to visit Israel next week.
A secret deal made between Israel and the USA to lift the siege beginning with opening the crossings to Gaza. Israel opposes paying the salaries of Gaza employees while it will allow the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip through international aid, the sources added.
The newspaper said that the issue of disarming the Palestinian factions will not be part of the agreement that is prepared in Cairo these days. However, the USA will support Israel's request to work on preventing arming Hamas and the other Palestinian factions while Israel will work on the same issue internationally.
