Palestine achieves advanced levels in International Mental Arithmetic: MOE

Ramallah, ALRAY – The Palestinian Ministry of Education (MOE) announced Monday that the Palestinian students have realized cutting-edge levels in the UC MAS contest (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System) in Malaysia, in which about 4.000 students participated from around the world.

 

The MOE pointed out that the Palestinian student, Adam Rasras from Bethlehem has realized the chaperone for the second level, Janna Awad from Ramallah has got the second place for the third level, and Saeed El-ghoul from Jerusalem has got the second place for the first level.

 

"This honorable international success of Palestine, added to the series of achievements, is indicated that Palestine attained in the international forums with a sheer determination for leading the international educational sphere", according to the MOE.

 

The MOE underlined its commitment to supporting and incubating the creative potential, aiming at echoing the Palestinian voice to the whole world, in addition to appreciating UC MAS role in fostering students' talents.

 

The director general of UC MAS centre, Benan Khalifa, appreciated the role of the Palestinian minister of Education, Sabri Saidam, in supporting the student team.

 

She also affirmed that reaching these advanced levels reflected the devotion to Palestine and its people, who always distinguishingly spearheaded the international and regional forums.
