Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY - Israeli forces transformed the city of Jerusalem into a military outpost on Wednesday evening, coinciding with the start of marches by settlers celebrating Throne Day. These annual marches are organized by extremist religious groups in the occupied city of Jerusalem in a provocative manner toward the Palestinian residents.

The Israeli police have closed several streets in western and southern Jerusalem to facilitate the movement of settlers while completely impeding the movement of Palestinian citizens throughout the city, including the Old City, where settlers have been notably present.

This development is happening concurrently with unprecedented incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with more than 5,000 intruders reported during the current week alone. A report from the Jerusalem Governorate indicated that the number of intruders into Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of this year has exceeded forty thousand.

Tens of thousands of settlers performed the so-called "Priestly Blessing" rituals at the Buraq Wall Plaza since morning. Israeli forces compelled Jerusalemite shop owners to close their businesses to facilitate the movement of settlers.
