Bireh, ALRAY-The media coordinator of the sixth al-Bireh festival Emad Qarakra said that the Israeli occupation authorities prevented the Jordanian artist Meteb al-Saqqar from entering occupied Palestine to participate in the festival, which was due to be held on Wednesday at the stadium of Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank city.
"These racist measures will not deter us from continuing to offer our national and social duty to highlight and consolidate the Palestinian identity through the establishment of cultural events and festivals," Qarraqra said in a press release.
He stressed that the sixth Bireh festival will continue its activities despite not being able to reach Ramallah because of the prevention of occupation
