Washington, ALRAY - At least 40 American members of Congress have called on the US administration to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its policies of home demolition and forcible eviction being practiced against the Palestinians and to oppose its intentions to annex parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Congress members said, in a letter penned to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, that they condemn the Israeli demolition of the Palestinian Bedouin village of Humsa in the Jordan Valley, causing the displacement of 73 people, including 41 children.

They added in the letter that the current happenings indicate that the Israeli occupation intends to go on with its policies of annexing the Palestinian lands, which would never happen if the American administration has not been silent.

In addition, the Congress members called in the letter on the Secretary of State Pompeo to denounce the Israeli policies of demolishing Palestinian houses, which formerly targeted the village of Khan al-Ahmar.

They also demanded that Pompeo conduct an examination of the military equipment given by the US government to the Israeli occupation to know if they have been used in the process of demolishing the Palestinian village.

The Congress members considered that the Israeli occupation policies being practiced against the Palestinians aim at displacing them out of their lands.
