Occupied Jerusalem, ALRAY -A member of the Coronavirus Unit in occupied Jerusalem, Ali Al-Jabrini, announced that two deaths and 558 new cases of the virus had been recorded during the past two days.
Al-Jabrini stated in a statement on Tuesday that the city witnessed within two days two deaths in the town of Al-Tur and the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood, bringing the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic spread about a year ago to 220 cases.
Al-Jabrini pointed out that the city’s’ infection rate has increased, with 558 cases recorded within two days, including 247 on Sunday, and 311 cases on Monday.
He stated that the number of active cases in Jerusalem reached to 1733, of which 84 were being treated in hospitals.
Al-Jabrini noted that Jerusalem "is still witnessing a positive turnout for vaccinations, and the number of recipients of the first dose reached 53 thousand Jerusalemites, while the second dose received 23 thousand."
