Hebron, ALRAY - Israeli colonial settlers have set fire to vast swathes of Palestinian farmland in the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

Local sources said Saturday that a group of Israeli colonial settlers broke into Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and set fire to around 50 dunums of crops, owned by three local residents.

Meanwhile, Israeli colonial settlers graze their cattle on farmland in the east of Yatta, destroying Palestinian-owned crops.

Israeli colonial settlers also torched olive trees and forest trees in Sa'ir town, east of Hebron.

Israeli colonial settlers have recently stepped up their attacks against the Palestinian people and their property in the occupied West Bank, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.

Nearly 700,000 Israeli colonial settlers now live in more than 250 illegal settlements and outposts across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in violation of international law.
