Gaza, ALRAY - Israeli warships opened fire Thursday at dawn at Palestinian fishermen off Gaza sea.
Witnesses said the warships fired at fishing boats off al-Sodaniyya shore, north of Gaza, although the fishermen were within the 3-mile fishing distance. No injuries were reported.
(Israel) has controlled Gaza waters since its occupation of the area in 1967, and has kept several warships stationed off the coast since 2008.
Although Israeli occupation limited the fishing distance in Gaza Sea to 6 nautical miles, they neither complied with that distance nor allowed Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip to sail and fish freely, and continued their attacks against them.
